Nicholas Young

Nicholas is a DPhil candidate in Law at the University of Oxford, the Research Fellow in Sustainable Business Law in the Oxford Sustainable Law Programme, and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University. Supported by a Rhodes Scholarship, Nicholas' DPhil research applies doctrinal and computational methods to evaluate the impacts of climate litigation in Australia and the United Kingdom. His DPhil research is supervised by Professor Lavanya Rajamani and Associate Professor Thom Wetzer.

An Australian lawyer, Nicholas has worked across climate litigation, law and policy at several think tanks and intergovernmental organisations, as well as in the private sector, and was an Associate to a Justice of the High Court of Australia. Nicholas holds a Master of Science in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations) from Monash University.
